1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using WarrantyBrain ("the extension" or "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

WarrantyBrain is a Chrome browser extension that detects online purchases on supported retailers, retrieves manufacturer warranty information, and helps you register and track warranties. The service includes a free tier and a paid Pro tier.

3. Warranty Information Accuracy

WarrantyBrain retrieves warranty information from a curated database and, when necessary, from an AI language model. This information is provided for convenience only and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current.

WarrantyBrain does not warrant that:

• The warranty terms shown are the official or legally binding terms
• Your product is actually covered under warranty
• A warranty claim will be accepted by the manufacturer
• Registration URLs or policy links are current

Always verify warranty terms directly with the manufacturer before filing a claim. The extension displays the information source ("From manufacturer database" vs "AI estimate — please verify") to help you assess reliability.

4. Free Tier

The free tier allows up to 5 warranty records and is provided at no cost. We reserve the right to change the free tier limits with 30 days notice.

5. Pro Subscription

Pro subscriptions are billed annually. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

Launch promo pricing ($10/year): If you subscribe during the launch promotional period (first 500 subscribers), your rate is locked for the life of your continuous subscription. The locked rate applies only while your subscription remains active. If you cancel and resubscribe, standard pricing applies.

Refunds are available within 14 days of the initial purchase or annual renewal if you have not used Pro features during that period. Contact hello@[YOUR_DOMAIN] to request a refund.

6. 30-Day Free Trial

New installations include a 30-day Pro trial at no cost. No credit card is required for the trial. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription — you must actively upgrade to continue Pro features after the trial ends.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent the free tier record limit through technical means
• Use the service to scrape or harvest warranty data at scale
• Reverse-engineer or copy the service for a competing product
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WarrantyBrain is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed warranty claims, failed registrations, or reliance on inaccurate warranty information.

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify Pro subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
